QR Photo Cards

One card per child, two jobs: on photo day it matches the photos to the child. Afterwards it opens the gallery for the parents. Printed from the browser, no extra device, no app.

Two ways to print

Pixalo prints cards in two places. Both use the same access code but differ in purpose.

Photo cards for photo day

Via flow step 2 or the “Photo cards” button in the Groups panel. One page per group: first the dark group photo card, then the child cards with a large QR code. Plain, quick to recognise, made for the camera.

Access cards for parents

Via “QR codes” in the child list. Designed cards with studio, client, access code, discount code and your own design. To take home.

The group card

Photograph the group card before the group photo. All photos after it belong to the whole group. This code opens no gallery, it is only for matching.

Access cards: choose a design

The Access cards page shows the cards of one group. At the top you choose the design, on the right the print preview opens.

Standard

10 cards on A4, two per row. Studio, client, access code, QR, name, group, discount code.

Consent form

Full page per child: declaration of consent at the top, section for parents below. On first selection a notice appears: it is a sample template, you check the text yourself.

Compact

Half page (A5) with consent and card in one.

Own templates

Everything from the card designer. “Duplicate & customise” copies a Pixalo template into your templates.

Format belongs to the design

Full page (A4), half page (A5) or cards (A4 grid). Number per page and logo are part of the template and are changed in the card designer, not here.

Discount code

The code comes from the Discount codes section on the event detail page. Without a selection the cards are printed without a code.

Print preview and printing

The preview shows exactly what will be printed. “Print now” opens the browser print dialog.

Check the design, open the print preview.

“Print now” or Ctrl+P. Format A4, keep margins at default.

To save, choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog.

Cut the cards and sort by group. A clipboard helps on photo day.

What is on the card

Client, studio, eight-character access code, QR code with link to the gallery, child name, group, optionally the discount code. On spare cards the name field stays blank.

Card designer

Own templates for access cards and consent forms. Place elements freely, choose fonts and backgrounds, insert placeholders.

Elements

Text, image, QR code, shape, line, form field and stickers for kindergarten, school, sports, seasons.

Placeholders

First name, last name, access code, parent email, group, event, client, studio data, shop URL, discount code, privacy link. Replaced per child when printing.

Page and grid

Full page, half page or grid with columns, rows, spacing and cut marks. Print preview right in the editor.

Start with a copy

“Duplicate & customise” on a Pixalo template is the fastest way to your own card. The template stays unchanged.

Reprinting cards

Reprinting cards

Cards can be reprinted at any time, the code stays the same. If a code is regenerated, the old card becomes invalid. For latecomers use spare cards or add the child and print only their group.

Cards printed. Off to photo day.

Photograph the card, then the child. Upload, the rest happens automatically.
