Placeholders

Pixalo inserts placeholders for every child when printing. Clicking a placeholder creates a text element with it.

GroupPlaceholders
ChildFirst name, last name, full name, access code, parents’ email.
Shoot & galleryClass or group, school or kindergarten, shoot, picture day date, order deadline, shop address, privacy link.
Online sign-upSign-up link, sign-up deadline.

Only show what exists

With Only show when available an element appears only when there is a value. That way the voucher box only shows when a discount code is chosen.

The QR code

A QR code element has a setting QR leads to:

  • Gallery access: the child’s personal access. For access cards.
  • Online sign-up: the sign-up link of the shoot. For poster and parent letter.
  • Show code below the QR: prints the access code underneath for typing.

Do not make the QR code too small

Pixalo does not force a QR code. Check in the preview that it is there and at least 25 mm wide so every phone can read it.

Preview, save, print

The Print preview shows the template with sample data: a sample child, a code and a discount.

  • Save: stores the template. If you leave the editor unsaved, the browser warns you.
  • Real printing: on the access cards page of a shoot or in the Online sign-up area. There Pixalo fills in the real data.
  • Print setting: choose 100 percent, not fit to page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add my logo?

With the Image element: upload the logo, place it, done.

Is there landscape format?

Your own templates are portrait. For landscape, duplicate the template Photo access card, colorful.

Why can I not edit a Pixalo template directly?

So it always stays as a starting point. Duplicate & customize makes a copy that belongs to you.

I deleted a template. Do old prints still work?

Yes. Printed cards keep working, because the QR code belongs to the child, not to the template.
