Payments
Four payment methods, all straight to your account. Pixalo keeps nothing. You connect Stripe and PayPal with a few clicks, bank transfer and cash you set up yourself.
The payment methods
Under Settings → Payments lie the four cards. Each can be activated individually.
- 1Connect PayPal: redirect to PayPal, log in, back. Done.
- 2Connect Stripe: credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay through your Stripe account.
- 3Prepayment / bank transfer: your bank details, shown to the customer in the confirmation.
Stripe
“Connect Stripe” opens Stripe Connect. New or existing Stripe account, the country is taken from your company data. After returning it shows Connected with your account ID. Payments go directly to you, Stripe fees apply as agreed with Stripe.
PayPal
“Connect PayPal” leads to PayPal, you log in with your business account. Additionally “Pay Later” can be switched on, then PayPal offers instalments. If the account cannot receive payments or the email is not confirmed, Pixalo shows a notice.
Prepayment / bank transfer
Bank name, account holder, IBAN, BIC. The customer orders, sees your bank details and transfers. You confirm receipt in the order with “Mark as completed”.
Cash on pickup
Pickup instructions with address and opening hours. The customer orders, pays at your place and you complete the order. Good for kindergartens and schools with a handout date.
Active, order, default
Each card has an Active switch. If several methods are set up, the card Order & default at checkout appears below.
Active
Off means: not at checkout, the connection stays. For example switch on cash only on handout days.
Order
Arrows up and down. This is how the methods appear at checkout.
Default
The preselected method. Or “No preselection”, then the customer must choose deliberately.
What the customer sees
At checkout the active methods appear in your order. With bank transfer the bank details appear, with cash the pickup instructions, both also in the confirmation email. Digital downloads stay locked until you complete the order.
Disconnect and refunds
Disconnect
“Disconnect” removes the connection to Stripe or PayPal. Existing orders stay, new payments via this method are no longer possible.
Refunds
Stripe and PayPal refund automatically from the order. With bank transfer and cash you transfer yourself, Pixalo creates the credit note.
